Godfrey & Hicks Builders Ltd is divided into four operations divisions, providing both sector focus and ownership of specific clients and consultants. This provides clients with a single point of contact from concept to completion and provides a good personal service. The four divisions are Commercial Build, Private Build, Small Works and Joinery.
From the outset, the Company’s policy has been to offer value for money, quality workmanship, a high level of supervision, and to ensure a professional approach at all times. This policy has allowed Godfrey & Hicks to develop a strong and diverse Client base, and its success is evidenced by the fact that a significant amount of new work is generated either by ‘word of mouth’, or as repeat business from existing clients.
With the majority of our turnover being secured within a forty mile radius of Newmarket, we have been able to establish a large pool of reliable and competent tradesmen in both the Labour-Only and Sub-Contract sectors of the market.
The company has some 40 plus directly employed operatives, covering the traditional spread of building trades, including our own ‘in house’ joinery works which employs 4 full time joiners.
Over the years, the company has successfully undertaken a wide variety of projects, employing a diversity of building techniques. We have experience of Listed Buildings, traditional new-build techniques, steel frame, planar glazing, cast in-situ structural floor slabs, to name a few.
Godfrey & Hicks Builders Ltd is a Member of the Federation of Master Builders. It is registered to the National House Building Council, Environment Agency and Eastern Builders Safety Group. It has achieved Investor in people status and is also registered to Construction Line and the Construction Industry Training Board.
