Equine Facilities
Based in Newmarket, the home of British horseracing, Godfrey & Hicks Builders Ltd has experience in the construction and refurbishment of specialist units for the equine industry. These include various projects, examples of which are the construction of a new Equine Hospital, stable complex and service yards; the erection of an American Barn, Groom's House and associated works; and refurbishment works at the local racecourses.
Equine Hospital
Phase I: Traditional cavity blockwork construction (Lignacite Architectural facing externally) ground bearing slab, part steel frame, cast in-situ structural first floor slab, steel portal roof frame and traditional cut roof, planar glazed gables. Intensive mechanical and electrical content. Stable complex and service yards.
Phase II: Traditional build as main hospital for additional stables and storage facilities and fit out to 1st floor of hospital for Conference facilities, offices and lift.

Racecourse Roof
Racecourse - Roof replacement & essential maintenance works. Extensive scaffold work to enable three main stand roofs to be completely removed. Steelwork shot blasted, redecorated and new roof system installed together with brickwork repairs.
